'Cnack sounds' from under car
Well first I'm sorry for the clumsy way in which I express myself, as I don't have a dictionary of automotive terms
This is kind of a strange problem. Whenever I turn or move the steering weel, there's a cnacking sound from under the car, seemingly coming from the steering links or somewhere... I'm missing the correct terms!
Someone from a special Pontiac forum said, there were 8 places where one has to apply grease, and the cnack sound would disappear.
So, does anything of the steering stuff need grease somewhere?
Thanks for any help

I would check to make sure all of your steering linkage is snug (not about to break).. Then grease them...

Under your car, you will see the linkage for the steering. There will be 4 grease zerks on the tie rods (2 inner, 2 outer), and 1 grease zerk on the idler arm (on the passenger side). To check to see if they are bad, you can grab them and see if there is any play there, or have someone turn the wheel and see if you can hear/feel any play below.
BTW, there are also grease zerks for the lower ball joints on the lower control arms.
This should probably be moved to suspension/brakes...
