Should i make this TRANNY TRADE ?

Well a guy contacted me and he have a 85 Firebird with a MANUAL 5 SPEED (T5 IGUESS) ...and he had a bad leg.
I have my 82 S/E with a Auto TH-200C

He made me this Offer...a swap ...cuz he needs the automatic (cause his leg problem) and he gives me the T5 installed and working...PLUS money or a new DIGITAL PHOTO CAMERA

What you think ????
ohh we both have the 2.8 V6
thanks !!

go for it man, the install is easy and a 5 speed is so much fun and better on gas.

I would definetly do that trade.

You shouldn't have to many problems with the v6 if it was a v8 car I wouldn't do it. The tranny should be more than fine for a 2.8.

Don't forget to take into account that 82 had a different crossmember mounting point. 83 and up were different in that they had an extra set of holes for the crossmember to mount up to.

I have a v6 T5 sitting here if you want it make me an offer and cover shipping anf it is yours. It's the Non World Class, but it would be fine with a v6. Synchros all look good. Seems to be hardly used or it has been rebuilt. It's an 84 I believe. The guy I bought a donor car from recently threw it in with bunch of extra stuff he wanted to get rid of.
