RPM's AT 60?

I just had some gears put in my car and the rpm's are 2500 at 60mph. does that sound about right with a 700r4? and i cant tell if the torque converter is locking up. can anyone help with the topic? thanks sean

I am running 3.42's with a 700r4 and I changed the speedometer gears to correct my mph. At 60 mph it's at around 2000 rpm give or take the converter being locked and at 80 it's at 2500rpm.

1750 @ 60 mph with 3:42 rear.
To check your converter lock up: Drive the car at 50 mph steady speed, while keeping your right foot on the gas to maintain speed, tap the brake pedal with your left foot, the tach should indicate a rise in RPM (200-300) then go back down when you let off the brake.
