9 Bolt beef-up?

Due to the praise of the 9 Bolt rear on this forum, I decided to buy one for my 92. My question to those of you that have gotten them to hold up to high horse applications is are there any tricks that you used to beef them up, or did you use them as is?

Does anybody weld the axle tubes on these rears?
I've heard aftermarket axles are available. At what level are they needed?

Miles-I see you have a dif cover in the works. Have you been using a prototype, or the stocker?

Any feedback is appreciated.

Are you using the stock axles? Are you running slicks, or street tires? (sorry, I couldn't find this info on your site, & I'm trying to get an idea of how far I can take this rear)

Everything is stock about it. Sometimes I run slicks, sometimes not.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like it's pretty tough, as is.
