How much fluid does a wc t-5 take, where the hell do i buy dextron 2 e (is there anything better to use?), and how do i go about emptying and filling it? the drain and fill plugs face up towards the sky.....

 

a bout 2.5 quarts is what i believe it takes. drain as much as you can with the lower plug. then when I filled it i took the top plug out and put an catch pan under the car and filled the tranny up through where the shifter bolts, untill fluid just started to run out of the top drain hole. ohh and you can get dexron2 atf at any parts store.

how come the stuff in my t-5 is clear????? and is dextron 3 a direct replacement for dextron 2 e? the bottle says it is but dextron 3 is red n the stuff in my tranny is clearish.. hrmmm...

 

hum I am not sure, I used dexronIII red came out when I drained it and red went back in when I filled it.
