You should notice more response out of the throttle. Should be worth the upgrade.

I didn't think the silverado trucks used the 7.5 ring gears? as far as I new the s-10 trucks, blazers and astro vans were our only opt. besides other third gens and newer f-bodys

accually i think it was a s-10. the gear is a 7.5 10 bolt. the guy at the motorsports place told me they were out of a chey truck that was lifted so he got bogger gears.

I went from what I thought was 2.73 to 3.42 gears but it turns out they were 3.08's in the car Still felt a difference swapping in the 3.42 gears.

NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE!

It was a different car to drive. No problem burning the tires off. A matter of fact I ruined a med set of tires after 2 days. The change dropped my 1/4 mile from 14.5 to 14.1. And that's going from bairly any traction proplem to alot. Some good tires and you could easily see another couple tenths. I think 3.42 is the lowest gear I would use with a tuned port and automatic. 3.73 would just be too much IMO.
