I'm wondering if i would be able to swap my posi unit and gears into a 4th gen rear from a 95 v6 maro.. my friend is selling me the rear for 20 bucks, but its an open rear. I'd like to swap it in for the disc brakes and so i can run 4th gen rims, so will it swap? i know the axles are different lengths but are they the same spline? if not could i get axles of the proper length if the posi would bolt in but the axles were a diff spline?
Also how would i make the parking brake functional? Thanks for any help!

Thanks for any help!

mostly all 90 and up cars have 28 spline axles and even some 89s, but youd be real lucky if your axles are 28 spline. I dont think i have seen an 89 on the boards yet with the new axles.
