ok well some of you may of read my previous post on my constant gasket change but i think i may of found my problem right above my pan in the center is like a circle i guess where the front pump seal is. on the side of this circle there is a film of tranny fluid. but even right underneath it thjeres no real puddle could it seep down to my gasket run along it and fall from the pan to the floor. this is the only other thing i can think of. with that said gt transmissions quoted me for just the seal replacement 450!! is this righti live in nyc. he also said he cant guareentee it because he may have to replace other things, because they dont usually go bad its mostly caused by something else failing. what is this guy talking about? what would make the pump seal go bad? if i do attempt to do it m y self what other things should i replace at the same time? by the way ive been driving this car for three months after its been stored for three years!! thanks for your input.
