I also saw a post where someone said 8.8'' ford rearends from a 95-up explorer was a fairly easy swap. Anyone have anymore info on that?

I talked to a guy on the camaroz28.com board who had a 8.8 made for his car, he said it was around 1300 and he put all good stuff in it, i will try to find the PM and post it.

How much did it cost to have done? Do you have the specs, dimensions on it so it could be replicated? thanks
I paid $1200 u.s. but I made the rear end completely bulletproof.
Complete with Moser 33 spline axles and the works.
It can be made for cheaper.
I don't have dimensions because they custom fitted it to my car.
I want to run 28" ET streets so I made the rear axle a little shorter so it wouldn't rub the wheel well.
this is all i know. I don't know what type of shop that would do it. 1200 isn't a bad price especially if its built.
I will PM him back for more info.
