question about stock flywheel (asap
i need to get a gear reduction starter so that i can bump the timing up on my engine.i don't know how many teeth are on a stock t5 flywheel. also in jegs the starter im looking at says it fit chevy sb with 153-168 tooth flywheels. does that mean that, that one starter will work with both tooth counts. this is that starter that im looking at:

The stock T-5 flywheel has 153 teeth. That starter should work fine for either 153 tooth or 168 tooth flywheel.

watch out, the bigger flywheel (168 teeth) will not work with the starter that originally fit with a 153 tooth flywheel. WIth The bigger diamater, the starter will have to have a different position on the block. The mounting bolt holes are offset differently.
