slight 2-->3 slip after rebuild
Well I finally got my car back, my tranny dropped a few weeks ago so I got it completely rebuilt by a friend of a friend for cheap. The guy that rebuilt it normally does race trannys and he put in a stage 2 shift kit and a vette servo. It shifts nice and firm through the gears. At first it shifted way too hard, so I messed with the TV cable and tamed it down a bit. Now it's firm but comfortable under normal throttle and it chirps the tires at WOT.
Heres my question: (tried searching) if you hold it at exactly half throttle, the rpm's jump just a bit during the 2 to 3 shift. Only at half throttle though. Light throttle it's perfect and at 3/4 or WOT it's perfect. It's just barely noticable, but it is noticable. Should I be concerned with this? Otherwise it's perfect. BTW its a 1984 firebird 5.0 LG4 with the 700r4. The guy that rebuilt it is hard to get ahold of so I figured I'd post here b4 attempting to call...
thanks in advance for any and all help!:lala:
