Just like the question states. No other mods except eaton posi with motive 3.42's. I may weld the axle tubes, but don't know yet. Without any modifications can it take 400 flywheel hp with slicks?

Ouch...the Slicks are gonna hurt it. I doubt it will last long Drag Racing

I'm not talking rear wheel hp here, just flywheel hp. Are LS1 guys able to do it? just curious.

Yeah...400HP at the flywheel...and slicks...is gonna go Kaboom. Probably sooner than later...IMHO.

hehe i put 500 flywheel hp to mine....on slicks...it actually lasted a little while....i knew it was doomed though....finally twisted the axle off

but ya 400hp will kill it too

Install some Moser axles and weld up the axle tubes with a stud girdle and you'll be fine. Aslong as you don't have a transbrake..thats what really kills rearends.

it'll still break, trust me.....it might last a little bit longer, but in the end 7.5" ring gears are too small as are all the other components in the housing.....you just need something tougher

I think it will last for awhile with an automatic. If it was a stick car not quite as long.

My stock 3.23 posi rear end on street tires should live up to my 360fwhp right? I'm gonna have BFG G/Force T/A KDW's in two weeks on there, and the car won't be going to the strip for a very long time (until the transmission gets replaced).
