All you'll need is the B&M Kit (Summit Part # BMM-30299) for 79.95... Since the driveshaft is close to the same length for the 200c, it's a striaght swap. The kit will give you a mounting point for the torque arm, and relocate the trannie mount.
Someone else will have to fill you in on the kickdown cable? Mine has a transgo full manual w/no kickdown needed.
What else, oh you'll need to run a rubber line from the modulator to a vacuum source off the intake.

hmm I think the bone yard down the road has a couple 82 z28s with 200r4s. Maybe I should grab a driveshaft...will save me money when I do to do my th350 swap. Unless I get the TCI with the 9'' tailshaft.

Just for the record, there was never a TH200R4 put into 3rd Gens. Stock at least
...The (4) at the end mean 4 speed, and the 200C was only a 3 speed. Two completely different transmissions....
If you check the part on Summit Racing, even the add is wrong which states 2004R (<- that's not even correct), but then again it also states it as a 200C
Here, I had to clip it...
"This bracket kit from B&M allows you to swap a TH350 into your TH2004R or TH700R4 equipped Camaro or Firebird. The kit contains a trans mount, torque arm mount, and hardware. A stock 1982 TH200 driveshaft or equivalent and other GM parts are required."
I think I'll email them to tomorrow, and get that fixed

Yeap, only crappy 200C on 82's. Hell they even used them on some of the latter years of the heavy 2nd gens...These are heavy cars, but the HP & Torque were pretty low, so GM saved money.
It never made since, that my '81 had a 200C, but the rear was a bullet proof 8.5"??????????
Needless to say, I swaped in a TH-350 on my '81 years ago...

If I had a TH-200R4 I wouldn't replace it with a TH-350, I would just build it up!
I see 200R4 in 'CHP' all the time, so they must be pretty strong???

The swap was pretty simple. Pretty easy, I never hooked up the kickdown. I just pull it back into 2nd if I ever need to. I like it better without the kickdown, But with the 3.73s I hardly ever need it, Unless I am trying to pull on someone. I am wanting to swap out mine for a more highway friendly trans for me to go back and forth to College next year!
