Ack Speedo not working

Ack Speedo not working

Hey I busted my rear end awhile back, bog a new one put in, and now the spedo doesnt work. It stats to jump up towards the speed im going after the car has heated up a little. but it doesnt work at first and then just jumps around, and when i decelerate it just goes straight to zero... anyone konw how to fix this?

Well, considering your car looks like its a 91-92. That means you have an electronic speedo. You may have a wiring issue if that is happening.

If you changed gears in the rear, there would be a difference in speed, but not what you are explaining. I think you have an unrelated problem that probabally occured around the same time you changed the rear.

The speedo gear itself is housed in the tranny tail, so if you changed rears, that should have been undisturbed, which leads me to a wiring problem.
