can a posi from an ls1 be used in 3rd gen?

I need to know if a posi unit from a 2000 ls1 z28 can be used in my 10 bolt rearend. I have a 1990 formula which I believe has (correct me if I am wrong) 28 spline axles and is a 7 1/2 (7.5) 10 bolt. Please help me out here because I can get this posi for a good price.

yes, that is where all the take off zexel posis are off of from slp.
