rebuilt t-5 wc
i just rebuilt my wct-5 because it was whineing after i rebuilt it it whines more now than before i rebuilt it. i put new bearings and reshimed it two times once tight and once loose but did not help it only whines when i accelerate it dosn't whine when i let up on the gas it whines in 1-2-3-5 gear no whine in 4 gear do you think i need new gears. the gears in the tranny look good i don't know what to do next????

My guess it would the gear on the input shaft or the mating gear on the cluster shaft that is wore. Because all gears, except 4th , rely on those.

Because that's the side of the gear teeth that get worn. The opposite side of the teeth, that are the active ones when decelerating, are OK.
If either the front countergear bearing or the clutch gear bearing, or both, was actually bad before the rebuild, then the gears were almost certainly being allowed to mis-align, which will rapidly destroy the teeth. If the teeth are damaged, they'll whine, and the trans is not long for the world. It's that simple.
Look at the mating surfaces of the teeth on the clutch gear and countergear with a jeweler's loupe or pow-power microscope. Compare the appearance of the drive side to the coast side. If they look different, your gears are fornicated, and you need to replace them.... which basically means you get to rebuild it again, except this time set aside the bad hard parts and install good ones.
