i just want to know if i will be able to drive it to my garage for the winter, so i do not have to deal with it untill spring time.

I think the biggest mistake you could make is change the fluid. ATF has detergents in it that do more harm than good in this situation. I have had a few tranny shops tell me that in this situation DO NOT CHANGE the fluid, as it will make it worse. I can say this from expierence. I would say if you limped it around, it would be fine to drive all winter. But burnt fluid means the clutch material is severly worn, and the steel bands that the clutches ride on are heat checked. Basiclly you will be looking at an overhaul. Been there done that( about 6or7 times). While driving it on burnt fluid isnt exactly good on a tranny, the damage is already done. Just my .02 cents, like I said I've had to rebuilt it several times.

the tranny itself is fine, it had a episode, where it got stuck inbetween 2 gears or something, but now it is back to normal, it does it every once and a while, had it checked out and they couldnt find aynthing wrong with it, but this time i tried moving it when it was stuck and it burnt the fluid, so i think the tranny is fine, but the fluid got wrecked because of what happened
i dont know if that makes any sense or not
