Engine: Lt1 (383 project)
Transmission: 700R4
trans from 83 camaro
any one know what the trans was , that was in the 1983 camaro 's with v8's... and did the Z28s and the regular camaros have the same trans' .. ( the v8 models)..

Axle/Gears: 9 Bolt, 3.45
Manual or automatic?
If automatic, it could be:
TH700R4 (4 speed w/overdrive)
TH2004R (3 speed, no OD, not to be confused with TH200C)
If manual, it could be:
Borg-Warner T5 (5 Speed w/overdrive)
Borg-Warner T10 (4 speed, no OD)
Saginaw (4 speed, no OD, rare)
83 is the bastard year for transmissions, because it's the only year a thirdgen could have came with all these transmissions. 84 and up it was either T5 or 700R4.
If automatic, it could be:
TH700R4 (4 speed w/overdrive)
TH2004R (3 speed, no OD, not to be confused with TH200C)
If manual, it could be:
Borg-Warner T5 (5 Speed w/overdrive)
Borg-Warner T10 (4 speed, no OD)
Saginaw (4 speed, no OD, rare)
