2 Simple Questions!
I want to know if going to 3.73's would be worth it. I have 3.42 now and they seem fine but I want It to pull faster and harder at the track. BTW I wind it to about 6000 at the track.
2. I would like to know what converter you guys recommend for my combo. I have the B&M tork master 2000 now and it feels like a stock converter I can only manage 2.1 60 ft times with 255/60-R15 and no wheel spin. I want to be able to shred street tires and need slicks to hook up.
Cam is Hyd/Roller
218/228
.492/.492

There's not much difference at all between 3.42 and 3.73.
I'd get a converter first. With the cam you have, look at 2600-2800 RPM stall. I'd be inclined to suspect that even with that tiny carb that's too small for the motor, the engine doesn't get into it's powerband for the first 100 feet or more. That's why your 60s suck.
You'll get a whole lot more bang for the buck out of that, than you will out of that little tweek to the gearing.

You need to figure out if you will stay in your power band when you cross the traps if you go to a 3.73. You may rediline beofer you cross the line and that won't help your ET's. I agree with everyone else that you should change your converter. A 3.42 gear is an all around great gear.
