85 t5 in 91 rs 305?

I have an offer for a t5 from an 85 for a decent price. I was reading around and seeing people talking that you should only get a world class t5. since it's out of an 85, it's now world class but if i'm only running a stock 305 and don't plan on putting out a lot more horsepower (probably only another 50 after mods for a while-i'm a high school, soon to be college, kid so money's tight) would this tranny be a good idea to swap in or would i just be causing more problems for myself?

I'm hearing that the speedo hooks up to the tranny, is a 85 going to work with my 91 cluster?

Believe 85 was mechanical, 91 is using VSS, so no. Not unless there is an adaptor to go from VSS to mechanical. Just look for a WC T-5, save ya a lot of trouble, I have one for sale buts its from a v-6.

save trouble?

what trouble?
when my WC went i bought a NWC cuz it was the first thing i could find
everything hooked up with no changes

in other words, the VSS (or cable if you call it that) hole is the same size for electric and cable driven VSS's

no changes needed
