Whats wrong with my new Tranny/Torque converter??????

I just installed my new pro-built tranny and vigilante stall yesterday and everything seemed to go fine. I filled it up with fluid and the dipstick reads it as full. I adjusted the tv cable and opened it to WOT and got all the clicks i was suppsed to get.

When I drive it the 1-2 shift is pretty smooth and acceptable but the 2-3 has some issues. If i let it shift automatically, it will shift into third kinda sloppy and then seems to shift again almost immediatley but I am not in OD. I dont know if the stall is locking up or what??? it doesnt seem to be shifting to OD cause if I put it in OD instead of Drive, it does the same shifting as if to go all the way into OD, but i shift back to D and there is no downshift.

If I manually shift, the 1-2 is still fine, but once in 2 and get a slight hesitation in the rpms around 3750 and then when I shift into 3rd I get only one shift this time, not two....

And to top it off, the is a smell that resembles to me burning a clutch on a manual car (not sure if an auto would smell the same)
but that worries me as well and I am sure the fluid level is good.

I bought the stall used with 1200 miles and it still had fluid in it (about half full) and I added * quarts myself so I should be around the right amount of fluid and the dip**** says it is right too.....

I am at a loss, I called Dana and hope to hear from him monday. Anyone else have some ideas????

Hopefully there were no filings in the converter from the transmission it was on previously.

(1) The TV cable needed to be adjusted (done). (2) What he is feeling is the torque converter clutch coming on after the 3rd gear shift (normal). (3) The "smell" was an oil leak (fixed now) that was noticed after running it through the gears, and it will take time to burn off.

Glad to hear it was easyly fixed. I was starting to think about what I went through last summer with my TH350.
