Best Shirt/Rebuild kit for the 700R4

Best Shift/Rebuild kit for the 700R4

What is the best rebuild/shift kit for the 700R4? Im not too worried about the price but i would like to rebuild mine to be able to withstand around 420hp/475lb-ft. I would also like to eliminate the slow 1st to 2nd gear shift and make the transmission shift hard enough to chirp the tires. Any help is appreciated.

Transmission: T56, 5-speed, 700R4, C4, T176, semi-auto 2-speed
Axle/Gears: 3.73, 3.90, 4.88, 3.55, 3.54, 7.00
A lot of guys here are running Pro-Built's rebuild kit.

To get crisp shifts you need a shift kit. I have had great luck with B&M kits over the years. A lot of guys here also run the Trans Go ones with great success.

i say transgo i have one in my 99 f150 and i have one for the camaro just havent installed it yet.

I had a trans go in mine before it blew up. It's an awesome shift kit and well worth the money. Made a huge difference in the firmness of the shifts, considering I put a higher stall converter in there. It's a tough kit to install unless you have a decent amount of mechanical experience, even considering it comes with a video.

I was reading about the pro-built rebuild kit and it mentioned something from trans go. Im not sure if it was a shift kit or not. So if i got that rebuild kit would i also need to purchase the trans go shift kit?

Yes, it comes with the Trans-Go Performance Shift kit, and everything else that is needed to do this right.

I have a B&M and a corvetter servo and I get whiplash everytime it shifts from 1st to second. The B&M kit is very crisp. Just my opinion.
