well if u dont like the rear ratio u have and might not have posi or its broke. your best bet is to find a used 89+ thirdgen rear end. try to find one with disk brakes, and a nice ratio. doesnt really need posi because you can get one from www.slponline.com for 100 bucks and it will fit in that 10 bolt perfectly because it should have 28 spline axles. plus the disk brakes are a good upgrade from the older disk brakes, and even the parking brake seems to be a better design.

all thirdgen rear ends bolt into any other thirdgen perfectly just a matter of hooking up the parking park lines and a different proportioning valve from the newer thirdgens with disk.

a nice 10 bolt with good ratio and posi with disk is a pretty decent rear end and should be able to get all that done for under 500 bucks if u dont the work yourself.

 

any rear from any third or fourth gen f body will be direct bolt in. aftermarket rears can be had from currie, moser, and strange.
