v6-v8 5 speed
Heres the deal(not my car), 89 2.8 camaro, has a 5 speed and am looking to buy a motor to convert it into a v8.
Will the 5 speed out of a 2.8 work for a v8? I know the bell housing doesnt bolt up but we can either weld it up or just weld something else to serve that function. Is there any other reason why the tranny wont mate with the new v8

To bolt it up, use a stock V8 bellhousing, the rest of the setup from a V8 except the clutch disc, you can either get one custom made to match the 1" 14 spline shaft of the V6 trans for the 10.4" dia V8 pressure plate, or just run the 9 11/16 84 V6 disc.
