what spline axles does a V6 3.42 geared 85 camaro rearend have?
need to know so I can get a posi for my girlfriends car. We swapped a V6 3.42 open diff into her trans am. The V6 rearend was out of an 84-86ish camaro.

Yup, 26.
'90 is the break year. All models after used 28s, all before used 26s. There are a few oddballs in '89 and '90 cars that could have either depending on what date the car was built and what the plant had on hand, so these years should be visually verified.
If it's an '85 rear it's safe to assume that they are 26s.
