LS1-LT1 rear in a 3rd gen
poeple do this alot. is it a bolt-in operation, or is there alot of modifcation involved? how do i disable the ABS system? can i just replace the rear calipers with non-abs ones? also, which is better.... LS1 rear or LT1 rear? I would really like to do this mod, but I have no idea what I'm getting into. any help would be great. thanks!

LS1, bigger rotors and calipers. As far as abs, dunno and yes its just a bolt on, except I heard the LS1 emercency brake cable won't work, but heard there is an easy fix.

You have no ABS system in your third gen so you don't have to disable it.
It is a direct bolt-in, as stated. The rear is about 1.8" longer on each side than a third gen one, so you need wheels with 4th gen offset to avoid that silly stupid skateboard effect you see on alot those funny little slow cars with the big stupid silly wings on the rear deck lid that impair their already laughable lack of performance.
