couple questions
#1 i bought a th350 and it supposed to have a b&m stall. i dont see any b&m markings or anything, or part numbers. any identifying marks i can look for?
#2 Is a torque arm a MUST for 3rd gens? my buddy seems to think i will be fine without one. the car will be mainly drag raced.

not needed, but.....
I highly recommend you beat your homeboy with a sock full of sand. part of the genius in the F-body suspension's design is the torquearm. it locks pinioon angle, and keeps the rear from bucking under power...i.e. DURING A LAUNCH FROM A DEAD STOP. (ring a bell?) no, you don't "need" it. but if you're gonna drag race, keep it. in fact, look into an adjustable one if you're gonna get serious with it.
I have a B&M stall... it's a 2400 stall, and it's shiny and black. it may say something on it, but I haven't looked at mine recently to say for sure. do you have any serial numbers or funny letters you can see?

no i dont see anything except a GM17 stamp and like 68 all around the top.
so what would happen if i didnt use the torque arm? pinion angle would get messed up , or really nothing would happen and i would be okay till i get a B&m swap kit?

nothing serious, since your car is kinda stock. (right?) it won't feel as tight, your launches will be a little mushier, but nothing serious. just don't do anything harsh to it if you're gonna run without the torque arm. look into the spohn stuff, too.... they make great bolt in stuff that's meant for power. I'll check my stall and tell you what it says later. good luck.

YEAH. just my .02 . some people don't think 375 is a lot of power... but when you consider this car (or any other 3rd gen) came out with about 150-200 hp, you're almost doubling that number. if you're gonna get more power than that, I'd suggest using spohn components. good stuff, and they stand behind it. their suspension stuff will take what you throw at it.
