4th gen rear help

id like to put on a 4th gen rear so i can run 4th gen wheels without spacers. i would like 3.73 gears with a limited slip posi(not one of the no-slip lockers). i want rear discs and i need to be able to hook my ebrake up for manual.

what should i be looking for? does it matter if the rear has abs? what price should i expect? do all z28 rears for 4th gens have disc?

whats a good way to find a rear?

thanks for any help

Your best bet is to look for a rear out of a 93 through 2002 Z28/SS. All T-56 cars are gauranteed to have the 3.42 (or better if the owner changed them). Some autos got the 3.32's but it doesn't matter since you are changing gears anyways. I would go for an LS1 rear mainly for the superior brakes. Some 4th gens actually could come with a drum in the rear so stay way from that. Not really worth it. As for as traction control and ABS, I think as long as they are unplugged it is ok to use them and the brakes should work just fine. I am not positive on that but that is what my memory is telling me right now.
