I just swapped in a T-5 into my 90 camaro. It came out of a cable driven 89 and I need the VSS for my speedo to work. I have 3.42 gears in the rear and I know the T-5 car I got it from had 3.08's but I don't care if it's off a little I just want it to work. My question is when I go order the part do I just ask for the VSS from a 90-up T-5 car? Will it bolt in place of the little cable thing that is in there now? Any one have part#'s for the VSS?

 

I told the guy it was for a 92 camaro T-5 V-8 and told him I needed the VSS and he gave me this number #10456087 and said it was going to be $94.12! Does this seem right? I also told him the gear colors that I need (purple 7, white 19) for the 3.42 gears and he gave me these numbers:
7 teeth purple #14071731
19 teeth white #14090592

Can anyone confirm these #'s?

 

I searched the part #'s on the forum and found that Shifty had done it so I used his very accurate info. I was worried about the VSS not needing a shaft mounted gear but shifty's is a 90 and that has a VSS so I guess It will work.
