i have a rpo code GU2 : AXLE REAR, 2.73 RATIO (without posi) in my 86 z28...will rpo codes from an s10 truck or similar with rpo codes

G80 : AXLE POSITRACTION, LIMITED SLIP
G89 : RING GEAR, 7.50 INCH
G92 : AXLE REAR RATIO, PERFORMANCE
GT4 : AXLE REAR, 3.73 RATIO
GU6 : AXLE REAR, 3.42 RATIO
GU2 : AXLE REAR, 2.73 RATIO

fit in my car as long as it is a 26 spline axle vehicle?

also can i assume that a pre 86 S10 or similar has 26 splne axles and is this all i have to consider (worry about) when i am looking to do this swap?...thanks in advance!

 

long as the axle splines match and it's from a 7.5/7.62 ten bolt it doesn't matter waht car or truck it comes from
