3.23 good for a thirdgen?

is a 3.23 gear good for an RS 5.0 thirdgen? Will i see a noticable difference over my 2.77? I think it will be the worlds difference. This thing goes and i mean GOES at like 2000 rpms and up. It runs like my S-10 with nitrous that ran a 14.0. but it has no lower end. It has an lt-1 cam, headers, no cat, Z-28 exhaust, K&N open element, And a 700R-4. I think itll scoot. 3.23 isnt too high or too low. I will also be throwing a posi in it this spring. I think it will cut my E.T by a full second. With a friends thirdgen he went from a 16.5 to a 15.7 with the same swap but his was a stock rs with an open rear. I think i can cut a full second off. How about you guys?

Yes, 3.23 would be a good idea.

Yep, stock 3.23's. Certainly better than 2.77s.

It sure is - one of the best "worst" movies ever made.

Speaking of the 3:23, its what I have in my IROC.. but I just got done installing a VORTEC 350 and all it does eat up the right tire... it ain't hookin for nothing. Will a posi-traction totally fix this or will I need to do something else to get it to grab? I was so excited to get it on the road finally, but all I did was leave a tire mark about 4 car lengths. Suggestions?
