fram tranny filter

fram tranny filter

are they as bad as their oil filters? my new pan came with a fram filter and gasket so i used that. i was just wondering if they are also bad so i can change it again soon.

Look st the filter and see if it has the Sealed Power trademark, "Filtran", if it has, then it is a oem type, which is fine.

The way i look at it a filters a filter. If you do the maintenace when your supposed to it really doesnt matter.

WRONG!!! Many times I've seen the oem filtran "zero leak" filter save front pumps from damage from fine metal. The other filters have let in this fine metal and ruin the front pump.

the filter has been in for like 3 weeks now. didnt notice if it has filtran or not.
