Anyone out there know much about the 700r in '91 Camaros? I noticed recently that my tranny was slipping in forward gears, so I had the fluid/filter changed out and what a difference! "Seems" pretty good for now, but now on cold (well cooler, live in FL) mornings I have to let the car sit and warm-up for 5 min or so, before it will back out of the driveway. ;(

From past experience it looks like my tranny is in it's last leg, but I was wondering if it could be something a lil simpler.. like a module of vaccum line that may be my trouble? It puzzles me that right after the maintenance the forward gears are tight, but reverse is now failing.

Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated. This car is currently a V6 but I have a 350 waiting in the garage for a swap. I know the V6 700's have a diff bolt pattern and there is an adapter I can buy to solve that issue. What I'm wondering is, can I simply swap out a bell housing from a V8 700 to this V6 700, if this tranny is indeed a simple repair away? See my next post about a 6-speed swap on same car. ;]
