Engine: 5.7L 350
Transmission: 700 r4
Transmission is out but lines are stuck...
Im replacing the flex plate and have the tranny sitten on jack about 2 inches away from flex plate but still need more room, so the trans lines need to be undone, should i unhook from tranny or from the cooler in the front?? on the tranny they are madd hard to get undone n e suggestions?

The perfect tool to remove them (without rounding them off) is a 1/2" crows foot on a universal joint connected to about an 8" extension and a 3/8" ratchet (this is to disconnect at the tranny, which I would recommend so you don't have to mess with the little bracket that holds them to the motor, plus you'll have freer movement of the trans and less potential damage to the lines)..
