What are my rear options?

Im looking into getting a new rear for my camaro. I was looking into aftermarket ones but they are a little pricey and a lot more work would have to be done ( so says mosers tech guys ). SO i was wondering , would i be able to beef up a 4thgen rear to handle a new engine with 360hp and about 380 trq? or would i have to look into etting an aftermarket rear? I think moser is going to want about 2300 for their complete rear, but then they said my stock rear brakes wont work.... anyone know anythign about this?

instead of beefing up a 4th gen rear why not beef up the one you have, they're the same thing.

I went with a Moser 9", but then again, I want at least 500HP. If you are staying under 400HP the stock rear should be fine as long as it is built right.

Since you seem to be on a budget, I think the best route would be to get some better gears and a zextel torsen posi unit. Your car already has the 28 spline axels, so you should be fine there.

Axle/Gears: 3.08 Open baby!!
You can make a 10 bolt hold 400 no prob
A friend of mine has an Auburn gear and Eaton Posi unit.
He used the Royal Purple Axle stuff and a girdle and has had no probs, and he beats the crap out of it!
He has about 475 horse
Just maintain your axle lube and it will hold no prob
