My 700R4 is completely toast ...I'm gonna throw in a TH350 soon but I'm just curious as to whats going on inside this crappy 700R4... It all started out when I put in the new motor. 4 test passes later and the trans is completely trashed... If you put it in gear it will be just fine for about 5 minutes and then it'll suddenly slip REALLY badly and actually start smoking out of the dipstick tube However, no gears are lost or any other stuff, it just works 100% fine then instantly goes to complete crap ...not gradually.

So whats wrong inside this thing that causes it to do this? Once again, I honestly could give a crap less if pulled the pan and the entire contents of the transmission fell into my lap, I'm just curious since I've never seen a transmission act like this before.
