Delayed shifting problem

Hi
I have a problem. I recently had to adjust my tv cable and now I am experiencing delayed shifts. she will shift only at around 3500 to 4000 rpms and this just normal city type of driving. Also she wont upshift at a city speed cruise even when I let go of the pedal.

Any Help????

Dennis

Ok...if this is what I think it is, the TV cable is attached to the throttle body, correct? If you did what I did, which was throw this out of adjustment, your transmission will not shift until a really high rpm...same thing happened to me. I just adjusted it back to its original position (there should be a little ratcheting mechanism inside its housing) and my trans was back to normal. It may require some trial and error though.

I really should figure out how to adjust this cable on my TBI motor. I was experiencing very little downshifting, if at all before I winterized it. I took off my aircleaner right before I put it away but I couldn't figure out how to adjust it.

Does anyone have a diagram of a TBI motor?

Yeah I know... go ahead and call me a newb
