Driveshaft stuck
Driveshaft stuck
Here is what I'm working with:
an aluminum driveshaft from a '91 Trans Am
Probuilt Automatic 700r4 that I was running in my '91 Camaro
Installing both into my '84 Camaro.
Here is my problem: I can not get the driveshaft to slide more then 1" onto the tailshaft. I've tried the aluminum driveshaft and the original driveshaft that I used in the '91 Camaro, neither will slide onto the driveshaft. I did want to force it on and cause any damage. Any suggestions?
thanks

Sounds like a tight extension housing bushing.
Take the seal out, look at the bushing, see if there's any burrs or anything. Maybe take a piece of emery cloth to the leading edge of it. Then see if a yoke goes in. If so, put in a new seal and install the DS.
