TV cable difference?? Is there

I have swapped to a TH350 after destroying 3 700R4's. I had a TV cable just installed but not hooked to my carb, but i'm switching to a HSR and want to know if i can just get any old TV cable and install it into my TH350? My old cable is busted near the tranny and leaking everywhere! I didn't hook it up before because i pretty much will manually shift it down if i need to school a fool. TIA

Ok peoples i have my motor together and my HSR installed, now i'm coming down to crunch time and i still have never had anyone answer this question. Will a TV cable from a 700r4 trans work with a TH350? If i find a TPI car with an auto will that TV cable still work? I need the TPI length to run to my HSR. TIA

The 700R4 and TH350 TV cables are different.

The 700R4 TV cable controls the transmission line pressure.

The 350 cable control cable is a shiftdown or kickdown actuator.

If the 700R4 cable isn't adjusted correctly the transmission will fail.

The 350 won''t be hurt but you WILL miss having the 'kickdown' feature working.

Don't even try to run a 700R4 without a TV (THROTTLE VALVE) cable connected, adjusted and working right.

There's nothing special about the cables. Just difderent usage on the two transmissions.
