well i just finished up a t5 swap from a 700r4 and the damn t5 doesnt go into any of the gears. i know the tranny is good. i have a feeling the clutch isnt engaging all the way. i also think i put the throwout bearing on wrong. does it clip onto the fork , or does it just slide onto the fork? sorry im new with manuals

No it doesn't hurt anything; just take it apart and put it together right. It will have a much better chance of working right. It has no chance whatsoever of working right if it's put together that way.

The spring ("clip") is there to hold the bearing securely to the fork, rather than it rattling around in there.
