New here one this form, and hope someone can help with this.
I have an 86 Bird that came with a junk 2.8.
Im sending it to old school. I pulled the 2.8 along with the trans
and computer harness. and got a 1991 S15/jimmy with 4.3 for the donor of engine and trans.
Here is my problem. I did a nice build up of the 4.3 for the Bird,
I want to use the 4L60 trans from the Jimmy as it is a matched set engine and trans.
What do I have to do to the trans from the Jimmy to get it work
in the Bird?
Other then the TC case are they not the same? I just wanted to know before I pull the trans out of the Jimmy in case it wont work, and cant find any info on a 2.8 to 4.3 swap.
I would think that if people are doing it to the Blazers from the firebird, then it should work the other way around. True?

right off hand your gonna have to buy a torque arm bracket kit from jegs or summit to relocate the torque arm on your car ....ill do some checkin and see if i can find some more info on it for ya .

I have the arm bracket, and as far as I know I am all most sure that all I have to do to make this work is swap the tail shaft,
and the shift brackets.
I have looked and looked and all I can find for info is on the Bird to blazer swap.
