Stock speedogears?

Hi! guys!!
I am about to order a new speedogear to my new 3.73 gear but the man in the shop came up whith these question(You need a 15 and a 44 tooth gear. Your speed sensor will not work unless you have a 40 to 45 tooth driven gear now. What driven gear do you have now?
Someone nows what he is asking for please let me now.
Thanks!!

Take out the one you have now, and count the teeth. It's a little round housing in the very back of the transmission with a connector with 2 wires, right in front of where the drive shaft plugs into it.

What is the "hard way"? I don't know about any "hard way", other than guessing about stuff instead of looking, and then ordering the wrong parts.

Just look at it. It's real easy.

If your car came with 2.73s, though, the chances are very poor that you'll be able to change only the one gear to set the speedo for 3.73 gears. You'll probably have a 18-tooth drive gear, and you'll need a 15-tooth one.

If you want to make it as easy as possible, just order both gears from the dealer, that way you'll be certain to have the right ones.
