Transmission: 5 speed T-5
trans and gears?
Hey guys,
I need some help here. I have an 84 Recaro TA 5 speed. It has a 350 from an 87 GTA with a street cam, edelbrock intake and headers MSD ignition and accel module. Centerforce II clutch which is 3 weeks old. I cannot get the trans into 5th anymore! I have ben told that a more modern 6 speed would solve the issue because the T-5 cant handle the almost 400 HP this engine generates. What do you guys suggest as far as a 6 speed and rear gear ratio for everday and highway driving? I am assuming the rear is stock(10 bolt) and so is the trans.
