Which way does a needle pilot bearing install?

Hey guys, I did a search and all I could find was a really blurry pic that didn't help much. I am installing a T5 and I need to know which way my needle pilot bearing should install. Should I see the tapered "shoulder" or should that end go into the crank? Any help would be appreciated.

The tapered side, with the little rubber lip seal, should face the trans. The flat side with no seal should face the crank.
