Mega Shifter...hard to shift?

I'm in the process of installing my Mega Shifter....and geez...from pulling up on the trigger....I'm starting to get a few blisters on my fingers. Is it supposed to be that solid?

yeah they are pretty stiff. Make sure you have the cable looped as the instructions say..and there is some adjustment. But all in all you havce to be pretty rough with them.

From what I've seen, thats just the way they are. It should break in a bit but probably will still be tough to use. Mine takes some effort to get out of park, you just gotta use some muscle. Keeps the wife from driving it tho (not strong enough, haha).

Well I used my cable that came with the kit because I heard the stock one was not good to use. and After a day or 2 of going from park to drive it loosened up and its easy to shift now.

the way the switches are setup, they can be a bit finicky. i dont have the backup light problem, but i have to occasionally wiggle the shifter from left to right to disengage the safety switch

If I remember right, you have to kinda place the switches just right and tighten them down for them to work just right. My backup light doesnt work unless I pull back on the shifter a little bit while its in Reverse.

well..I just hooked up everything and it's working great. I didn't use the relay or anything and it works fine. My reverse lights work great too....never even have to adjust'em. I was going use the cable they supplied...I've done tons of research and everyone I've been contacting hasn't had one problem with using the stock cable. This ONLY problem I'm haiving now..is that when I put it in the over drive.....the top of it hits the console piece...anyone have this problem? I think I might be able to just shave some of the metal down....

That is why I bought mine! Well, that and not wanting to overshift. I installed mine and didn't have any problems with the cable, (used the B&M cable) but it is a PITA to get out of park, and unill I read the instructions I was having a hell of a time getting it back into park from nuetral (has to be in drive).
