i blew up the stock 700r4 and im having it rebuilt , its gonna be about 800 to do with labor. A little more to have a drain plug put in and a shift kit. I beat the crap outta the car. will i like the shift kit. I mean it shifts hard now, and its stock all it has is a hypertech chip so i dont think that will make it shift harder. But how is it with a shift kit. I dont drive it in the rain or daily so will it be better and fun is what im asking?
yup, you'll notice it. for that price i would buy a new tranny though. they come with kits alrready installed and a load of other beefy inturnals. www.camarotransmissions.com and www.700r4.com i hear the probuilts are wonderful but they run about 1400.

ive never owned a vehicle without a shift kit. my old 86 iroc had a shift kit and my 90 iroc also has a shift kit. i dont like the way the 700 feels stock. the shifts are too soft, sloppy and take too much time for my liking.
