No... If you want to buy it new get a LS1 driveshaft for 2/3 of that price:

Thirdgen 1LE aluminum driveshaft (2.75" in diameter, no dampener) http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results...umber=10085375

Ls1 Aluminum driveshaft (3" in diameter, vibration dampener) http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results...umber=12564004

If you wanted used....try www.car-parts.com

If you have to ask that question?? The answer would be NO. You will not notice any big changes. RPO code for the Aluminum Dr Shafts is JG1. Also the site you listed is overpriced, take the advice in the previous Post, if you have to have one.

will those be a direct fit??? and if so which is better? the lighter one with no vib damp or the heavier one with the vib damp?

and with the jegs one, it seems to have higher quality. so it might be worth the extra $.

The ls1 driveshaft is ighter than the 1LE and has a dampener, both are direct fits. Ls1 shaft is the better way to go.
