I am in the process of changing my transmission filter and fluid. The only problem is that I can't get the old transmission filter o-ring out. A tech book that I have just says to use your finger to get it out but that doesn't work at all. It is in there good and won't budge for anything. Any quick tips or suggestions? I am stumped and have no idea what to do/try.

 

i use a pick. mine came from snap on have one with a 90* bend works good. use it to snag the top edge and pull it down, or chisel and punch the side in towards the middle.
