speedo needle?

Bought a 145 mph speedo for my car and was cleaning it up when the needle broke off the housing. Is it possible to take the needle off my 115 mph speedo so i can switch out face plates???

Yes, but if the sweep of 0 - 145 is 270 degrees and the sweep of 0 - 115 is 270 degrees, just switching faces onto the olde speedo won't do it.

Speedometer repair can be tedious but doable. The parts to do an accurate correct-parts-no-calibration face-plate swap are typically discontinued also.

thanks for the reply. Exactly how do you remove the speedo needle without breaking it?

Some kind of a forked lever. tack puller, cheap restaurant fork, etc. I've never broken a needle or spindle but like I said... tedious & I've seen others break them.
