OK to use just a tranny cooler?

Ok Guys, here is the situation. I've swapped my engine, and are hooking up a new radiator, and the damn thing is stripped where the tranny line hooks up at top. I was intending to run the tranny fluid through the radiator and the external trans cooler that I have. The trans cooler is from my brothers one ton dualie pickup with a BB and th400. He was using only the cooler. My question is would this cooler be sufficient for my th350 that has been rebuilt with shift kit and B&M 2200 stall converter. Any opinions?

Sure...a tranny cooler works great.

You could also get an additional inline cooler/filter that would do way more than the stock filter could as well.

Most people run them through both but when I had my other tranny I just ran it through the cooler and not the radiator.

That tranny has since died lol. But I don't think that was the reason...100k without a cooler did it I think.
